Star Power ‘08: “What can your Business Blog/ Business Blogging service do for my business?”
We’re just beginning to unwind from an incredible Star Power Conference in Orlando FL. Frankly, I’m so incredibly impressed by the energy that is pervasive throughout a Howard Brinton show. Drawing from the knowledge of top producing Realtors®, I believe Star Power truly delivers North America’s premiere real estate educational event
For us, what comes from a show like this are great questions from many of the top producing Real Estate Stars themselves [many we're honored to say are our clients] and then also the attendees that aspire to learn from and to be Stars. So, I felt sharing some of the more common questions [with answers] we fielded pretty regularly at Star Power ‘08 might be useful to folks, as follows:
Que. "What is a blog?"
Ans. "A business blog is just a website; however, it’s a website that allows the layperson to publish easily and at will. A blog also offers its’ viewer the choice to subscribe via direct RSS or Email, which by the way, is a highly undervalued marketing proposition. Going direct is always the best way to remain high on a prospects radar screen."
Que. "Why do search engines like blogs more than websites?"
Ans. "They don’t necessarily. Search Engines need content, including the most timely information about every subject [i.e. New Albany OH Real Estate & Community News], to satisfy their searchers. Their business depends on loyal search activity. Logically speaking, a platform that makes it simple and cost- efficient to publish is more likely to be active… and more activity draws more interest from those same [needy] search engines. Even better, a platform that not only calls to, but that eases the consumption of topics [keywords & key phrases] for those same [needy] search engines is ideal."
Que. "What is better about your blog technology than the next company?"
Ans. "I believe there are companies that offer good technology out there. We use a modified version of WordPress, which I believe is the most universally used blogging software. It’s also incredibly user- friendly software that can be as optimized for search engine indexing as any we’ve ever seen. And we’ve worked with a few. We have some of the top people, including two of the original WP development team, managing our platform. Together we monitor and deploy core WordPress updates and then the most important features coming out of the open source community. It’s leading edge, but we’re careful to evaluate and then to tweak and improve. Remember, the web and search engines are always changing and we’re working to meet that challenge… so that you don’t ever have too. Never to underestimate good technology, you should be LESS concerned about blog technology than you should be about blog content. Google wants to level the playing field for technology so that they can gather more and more content. The folks that truly want a competitive advantage know to be focused MORE on their content. They know to be consistent, to be on- topic, to be educated about better blog writing techniques [backlinks, outbound links, deep internal links, anchor text, inviting subscription and much, much more] and the many things they can leverage through content."
Que. "What can a blog do for my business?"
Ans. "First off and most important, it will A) reduce your marketing and advertising costs dramatically if you leverage it correctly. A good business blog will generate 1) broad topic advertising in the organic search engine result pages, which in my humble view is modern day advertising. A good business blog will generate a 2) human online presence so that you can more readily appeal to those researching what you have to offer and sell. This, at least in my view, is modern public relations, brand reinforcement value add and the development of trust. And then finally, there is 3) direct subscription. Modern day direct marketing is a result of a blog’s built in ‘really simple syndication’ capability. As above, going direct is always the best way to remain high on a prospects radar screen!"
que. "Can a blog generate new sales?"
Ans. "Sure, if you use it correctly. The above tells why, but rather than taking my word for it, let this Santa Clarita CA Real Estate Blogger and this Phoenix AZ Real Estate Blogger answer that question in real terms."
que. "What does your service offer us versus free?"
Ans. "Beyond a leading edge technology solution for what is the most cost effective marketing you’ll ever leverage in your Real Estate business, we do so much more. We’re always working to improve the blogging platform and to add useful features, but we bring a human approach to service and an extensive commitment to educating you! Let me get on a soap box here because I’ve been around the start up arena for years and I’ve experienced [personally] what businesses are capable of doing to their clients. I believe value reflects the point of view/ the experience set of management. We’re not interested in running a business that shorts on service or the genuine addition of value. We’re a small company working hard to be successful. Hopefully this tagline says it all ”At Kinetic Knowledge LLC / Real Estate BlogsitesTM we believe in adding tremendous value. Clients come first - we can’t succeed unless you do!’, but if you’ve seen us at the trade shows you’ll know from our booth presentation [alone] that we do things within our means. With this service you get us, no fluff, no bull, no hype and no exaggeration! In my years around the technology start up arena I’ve learned a lot about how companies can compromise service and value add. That’s not us and its’ not ever going to be us. We intend to grow organically by helping business people to succeed, affordably. We truly believe that client loyalty and that gradual growth is the sustainable long term philosophy…. maybe a lot like what we see in Howard Brinton’s STAR POWER® Systems
