Technorati’s CEO Stands down
Technorati has long been heralded as the premiere search engine of the Blogging World. The company is known for its blog search capabilities as well as its user friendly member dashboard.
Announced today, CEO David Sifry is standing down as Technorati CEO. Now that the company has moved beyond start up into what he called a "Revenue-Stage" organization he is taking the post as Chairman, while CFO Teresa Malo, VP of Engineering Dorion Carroll and VP of Marketing Derek Gordon head up daily operations and the company searches for a new CEO.
The company’s engine already lists over 12,000 Real Estate blogs, which can be pursued by searching the key words "Real Estate."
In additional news, eight staff are being laid off as the company plans its roadmap for the future. The company, which started from humble beginnings is one of the biggest names in the blogosphere (dubbed the blogging equivalent of Google.) Its development and plans will be watched closely, especially by Real Estate Bloggers who often follow Technorati accounts to keep tabs on their blog link structure.
